The Works

The complex main construction works involved in building Hawick’s new flood protection scheme will get underway in Summer 2020.  They are scheduled to be completed by late 2023.

During that period, they will no doubt be a prominent feature of life in the town.  We are committed to carrying out the works with the minimum possible disruption to local residents and businesses.  Our aim is to provide information designed to keep everybody up-to-speed on developments as the works progress.

The Advanced Works have been operational since March 2018 and construction of the Main Works got underway in July 2020. Click on the images below for more details.
