It has been a year since the main construction contract (delivered by McLaughlin & Harvey) first started its 40 month programme. Steady progress has been made with the likes of Work Section One and Two now close to completion; the new Victoria and Mansfield Footbridges arriving in the town in July; and Buccleuch Road soon to be free of all works once the demountable flood barrier across Volunteer Park entrance is constructed.
